March 14

Welcome to Cartagena, Colombia!

After your pick-up from the airport, you will be escorted to your hotel to relax and get a lay of the land while waiting for everyone to join. Once the whole crew is here, we will head out for our Welcome Dinner with some delicious food and drinks. After dinner, we will have the party started with a Chiva Party that will finish at the club. Welcome to Colombia!

March 15

After breakfast, we will go for a tour of the Walled City of Cartagena, try fruit stands, take pictures with the Palenqueras, and of course, learn about the history. For lunch, we will head to one of the best restaurants in town and its specialty in Caribbean seafood (if you have a seafood allergy do not fret). We will take a break midday for leisure activities, and relaxation by the hotel pool before dancing the night away (again). Tonight it's all about SALSA & CHAMPETA. We will start with a welcome drink to get to know each other much better, and then we will learn together about the most popular Latin rhythms: Salsa and Champeta, the latter is the local rhythm and is a musical rhythm that reminds us of Cartagena's connection with Africa, it emerged from the bowels of the periphery of the city, a symbol that ended up becoming part of the identity.

March 16

Today you will have a chance to discover The Africa hidden in Colombia; Palenque. We visit meaningful spots such as the monuments of Benkos Biohó (the town founder), Kid Pambelé (World Boxing Champion), and the Traditional Medicine Yard, among others. After that, we conclude with a glorious traditional lunch. We also learn some words in their language as we tell you the story, so you'll be able to greet natives and you'll receive, not only their greeting back but also their smiles. So, be prepared to interact and experience this community of resistant and warm people. Today is a full adventure day therefore the evening is free.

March 17

Vamos a la Playa! We will spend the day at the beach taking in the sun. Don't forget your sunscreen.

March 18

This morning we will fly into Medellin. After checking in at the hotel we go straight to visit one of Medellin well well-known neighborhoods: COMMUNA 13. We will also explore other areas such as  Parque Botero and downtown. For sunset we will head to Pueblito Paisa; it is an attraction that recreates a 19th-century Colombian village. It has cobblestone streets a fountain in the town square and many restaurants to grab dinner. It is the perfect for a stroll. The evening is free to rest from the plane ride and to prepare for the next day as we have an early morning.

March 19

We will start very early in the morning. We will go to the Oriente Antioqueño, filled with green landscapes, where we will have a delicious breakfast. You will learn about the replica of a village called El Peñol, which is full of history, aboard a boat, touring the Guatapé dam with Crossover music. We will travel to Piedra del Peñol, you will be surprised at how majestic nature is when you find a Stone at a height of 220 meters, amazing. You will be able to climb its 740 steps, you will enjoy the unique beauty of being at that height. After we have obtained your reward with this view, we will enjoy lunch and finally head to the town of Guatape. Today is a full day, for those with enough energy in the evening, we can hit the nightlife.
